SANETER uses IP2Location Usage Type as the official classification standard for our applicable proxy products.
For an ISP proxy, SANETER verifies:
IP2Location → Usage Type: ISP
SANETER does not use this field as the product-verification standard:
IP2Location → AS Usage Type
What do the two fields mean?
• Usage Type represents the usage classification associated with the ISP or company behind the IP range.
• AS Usage Type represents the usage classification of the Autonomous System (AS) registrant.
AS Usage Type describes the business or network usage classification associated with the organization that operates or registers the Autonomous System. It is not the field SANETER uses to determine the product classification of the individual IP range we deliver.
Example:
• Usage Type: ISP
• AS Usage Type: DCH
This example still satisfies SANETER's published ISP classification requirement because the relevant verification result is Usage Type: ISP, not AS Usage Type: ISP.
SANETER does not control the business classification of the upstream network operator or Autonomous System registrant, nor can we require IP2Location to classify that company's AS Usage Type in a particular way.
Replacement and refund standard:
• If the first ISP proxy delivered to you does not show IP2Location → Usage Type: ISP, please contact our support team. SANETER will provide one replacement IP at no additional charge.
• If the replacement IP we provide also fails to show IP2Location → Usage Type: ISP, you may choose to request a refund for the affected proxy.
• AS Usage Type is not part of this replacement or refund standard.
The rule is simple:
Same database → Same field → Same standard
If you require AS Usage Type itself to display ISP, or you do not accept IP2Location Usage Type as the product-verification standard, please do not purchase this product.
